The trousers are very well made, and the 34 waist fit me perfectly (I am 6ft, average weight, and normally take a 34 waist).
Also really love the amount of pockets in these trousers, making them highly practical. There are zip pockets,, fastening pockets and open pockets, providing a range of options and allowing safe storage of keys etc. The open pockets on the hip are a good size (big enough for a phone or wallet), while the military-style pockets on the legs are long enough to hold an OS map or walking guide.
The trousers come with good belt, but it is also removable if you'd rather not use a belt, or use a different one.
All in all, no flaw to be found, especially at this price.
They are very lightweight and pack really small - ideal for multi-day treks. They nevertheless stand up to scratches and wear pretty well - I was doing some walking well off any beaten track yesterday and they dealt with bushes etc. well.
They look great and fit well, though they are expensive if not discounted heavily.
But I just don't understand why you'd use three-quarter length trekking trousers. For me, I'd almost always be looking for the protection from mud, midges and cold that a full-length trouser would give. And if I wasn't looking for that, I'd wear shorts. I will happily use these now that I have them, but can't understand why anyone would choose them over shorter or longer alternatives.
Update: worn only twice and have noticed hole in left pocket. Netting material in pockets very flimsy then...I didn't even put anything other than my hand in it so may have been there at delivery. They have now become gardening fodder.
