Some people dislike synthetic fabrics but personally, I love the fact that this is 100% polyester. Resists creasing, cool to wear, easy to wash / clean, keeps it shape, and is hard-wearing. What's not to like? The only thing with synthetic fabrics, they haven't got much 'give', so they have GOT to fit properly, and luckily for me, this blazer does, spot-on.
This jacket come with some rather nasty, cheap-looking brass buttons which weren't even sewn on the right way up (they have a crest embossed on them, so this matters). However I changed them for some plain ones and the jacket, despite its low price, now looks good and was ideal to wear on a recent cruise.
I bought this specifically due its cheap polyester material.
I wanted something that one could wear whilst in travel / driving so that the creases did not show up other end of a long flight / journey.
However please be warned that you will need to do some after purchase patch up.
Firstly the buttons, though impressive in nature have been sown on in all manner of directions - the placing is correct but you may need to adjust to get the emblems up the right way and to be in uniform. Alternatively you could just replace them with standard plain ones.
Secondly these jackets are larger than the standard sizes - they are roomy around the chest and hips, plus and a big plus - you will need have those shoulders looked at. They will need bringing in.
The Navy colour is a slightly darker than expected - though this is just me being a bit critical.
However taking all the above into consideration and then factoring in purchase price I can honestly say that they are worth it.
By the time you have given it to a tailor to make all the adjustment you should end up with a nice fitting almost tailored jacket with change to spare
