Christmas ANTIstory Creepy and says Santa isn't real. Awful
Verified purchase
Awful. My 4 year old and I settled down to view what we thought would be a beautifully animated Christmas tale like the stickman. It beautiful story line but seriously not for small children. Within minutes there were scenes of bullying, creepy scenes and children telling each other Santa isn't real. Seriously WTF were they thinking. This is a Christmas anitstory!! I had to turn it off, my son was scared. And this is a kid who loved a chrostmas carol with its ghosts!

I wish I’d read reviews before putting this film on!!

This is a terrible film for children (and for me a fully grown adult) lots of bullying and quite scary looking boys. Weird scenes. Tough to watch. I should have read reviews first. This is NOT a children’s Christmas movie.

Horrible start, had to turn it off!

Terrible. I had to distract my child and quickly switch to something else to stop ruining an exciting day. All you hear is "Santa isn't real"! I'm guessing in the end it the story turns towards Santa being real but I'm not going to take the risk because the start is especially saddening to watch.

Creepy and weird

This film is just creepy and weird. The little boy is picked on in the orphanage for believing in Father Christmas. There is one bit in particular when they describe what happens to the bad children at Christmas.... and this was awful and just so weird. I wouldn't be suprised if this film gives some littles ones nightmares.

Watch first before subjecting children to this

Awful, just awful. I turned it off after 15mins. It was just alot of bullying and explaining how santa isnt real. This isnt appropriate for young children. My 3 year old asked alot of very awkward questions.

Scary fairy story...

Some beauty in some of this, but many scary scenes - not really appropriate for tiny kids. There are scenes of bullying and at one point a silhouette story shows Santa being dismembered!!! The faces are quite disturbing throughout... and the speech acting in the uk version feels quite... stressful! it seems there may be a cultural difference in how this is presented. It’s a brothers Grimm kind of Faerie Storie...

A creative disaster

I won't recommend this to anyone. Despite the, I suppose, good ideas, it's an absolute nightmare. The scary scenes are terrible. I'm sure there are better ways to depict bullying.
