The presence of Dragons is vastly overstated

Have you ever wondered what The Lord Of The Rings would be like if it was a Christmas movie? Me neither until we watched the Christmas Dragon. Don't assume this is all smiles giggles and fluff, there's some scary moments for kids, especially when elves turn evil and a bit murderous. The real let down of this film was the flimsy CGI (Peppa Pig has a bigger CG budget) and for the short time that the dragon was actually involved. The movie really needs a better title, perhaps Dungeons and Dragons Christmas special.

Is this a Christmas film? No, there's just some vague references to it. It's like saying Rise of the Guardians is a Christmas film.

Despite my complaints as an adult my 7yo and 5yo loved it and got involved in the plot trying to figure out what was happening.

5/7 will probably not watch ever again.

Avoid if you have kids!

Sat down to watch this on Christmas Eve as a family film about Christmas and it is simply dreadful. The content is poor but alarmingly the rating is inappropriate and scared all of our kids! It had no 'fluffy' Christmas content and was just dreadful. Stopped a third of the way through. Avoid! (Kids aged, 15, 12, 9 and 7 who sadly watch too much TV so are accustomed to supervised / mild content).

The acting and script was poor, the effects were really bad. It looks like it was made very cheaply. My son (10) was happy watching it but I couldn't wait for it to finish !

Not a Christmas movie

Terrible acting. Poor plot and multiple seriously naf scenes. Uninspiring graphics. Not much dragon action for a film with Dragon in the title.
