Wow, how did I miss this one years ago?
This is pretty slow to start but I love sci fi so I persevered. Each episode unfolds the story and builds the characters nicely. This is a brilliant concept and it was done exceptionally well. I'd love a modern update on it but everything from the sets to the music created a very unique feel to it all. I really wish they'd done more seasons of this but it was ended in a way that could be accepted as the end. If you try it, keep going, each episode opens it all up more and more.

Very Stylish Smart Sci-Fi. Requires a Brain.. Greatly enjoyed. -Why bad reviews???
I think if you enjoyed 'The Man in the High Castle' , 'The Matrix', 'Blade Runner' or have Read more polished high concept Science Fiction Books (Gibson), this will be well worth a watch and please you. Concentration required, as work has gone into much detail. Good Luck ! Has lots of sharp edges and zany creativity to keep a person interested. Once you give yourself a little Time to adjust to the abrupt style it uses, it gains momentum. I enjoyed that we were 'abroad' 'between countries' and this gave it a more dangerous edge. I wish more lively things like this were screened in my dull-dull complacent media country. All characters vividly acted and unpredictable. Undertones of very grounded, global city violence, swam around the characters, like sharks. Mixed well with the high concept, giving it teeth.
I do not expect every corner of this world to make sense to me right away, but I think that is what gives it more mystery.. it's own universe for certain. Was this a graphic novel ever, as uses a lot of darker images? No info given this end of the tunnel .. Will there be more? Will we get to step further out with their reality?

Just what the actual fudge??
This is a prime example of the terrible low budget rubbish Amazon use to fill up their library! Bad acting, badly shot and generally bad all round. Lots of fleeting cuts from camera angle to camera angle to make it seem more intense than it ever actually is,I mean I have...seen worse but seriously just don't waste your time. Read a book,go for a walk, get drunk.......just anything but this. (Edited to be child friendly)

20 episodes too long!
I really attempted to stay the course with this show but gave up after the 3rd episode. If this is a slow burner then clearly someone forgot to light the stove.

Copycat of a great series, The city and the city.
Copycat of a great series, The city and the city. Same way of narrating, same characters.....two cities different dimensions. Badly acted. I stick with the original The City and the city
