I walked over 1500 miles this year. Walking is something that I truly enjoy. My New Balance wore out, but still look nice. I've had several people telling me how great these Brooks are. I've had $30 shoes that were better..

They're not. They are oddly balanced, uncomfortable and WAY TOO expensive for the awful quality.

I am embarrassed that I spent that much on these. I am returning these. Don't believe they hype. Overrated, overpriced and waste of money.

I have terrible feet, incredibly pronated. These are the BEST SHOES in the market. They were recommended by the top orthotics shop in the Chicago area. I’ve owned 3 pairs and none of them have failed me. The Beast is fantastic right out of the box.

I do wear them with my custom made orthotics. That makes all the difference. But the shoe itself is so well made — and comfortable. I highly recommend the Beast for anyone who needs nice looking but incredibly sturdy tennis shoes!

Very comfortable and light shoe. No firmness on the sidewall like the other beasts I've owned. I have a 16 and this one feels like a stylish shoe that has no support. I took my usual 5 mile walk and my heel and ankle were screaming at me. I'm going to have to go back to the motion control New Balance. I hope they didn't cheap out on the new version. I'm keeping them because they look good and I'll use them other than any exercise.

The fit and materials other than the sole seem unchanged from the 18 version. Stability and comfort are excellent, great for all day wear and long walks. Like for the Beast 18, get one size bigger than your usual.

I'm not really noticing my foot feeling anymore support than with other sneakers. Given the price, I would have thought it would be apparent. They are an ok shoes. One thing I've noticed is they are quite slippery after only a few months. Its like the rubber sole lost its grip already.

It's fine for me because it doesn't have much of an arch support. I am a bit flat footed, and a large arch support makes me feel as though I am walking with a large rock in my shoe. This is my second pair and I plan to buy another pair soon. After a year or so, it gets a bit "spongy" so I assume the inner sole is breaking down. My favorite shoe for comfort.
