The Book of Henry

Sometimes things are not always what they seem, especially in the small suburban town where the Carpenter family lives. Single suburban mother Susan Carpenter (Naomi Watts) works as a waitress at a diner, alongside feisty family friend Sheila (Sarah Silverman).

The trailer looked awesome and positive, so it was a great disappointment to see that the genius boy in the trailer actually dies very early on from a brain tumor and I had to watch all the sad trauma around that before “the plan” even starts. Very very sad film. I make a conscious decision not to watch films that make me cry and this one is definitely a heart wrenching tear jerker.

went downhill, until it was just stupid. Also, there were a few really sad and disturbing scenes (relating to a brain tumor), certainly not happy viewing, not worth watching, and not for anyone under 16. One good point the lead actor (young boy - Henry) was a great young actor, very talented

This film was absolutely fabulous. Both my teenage daughter & myself really enjoyed it.
A word of warning though, be ready with the box of tissues.

I watched it to see maddie zeigler acting. However she hardly spoke. The storyline was weird to say the least. I Think if she had been given more to say more of an interactive role it would have been better and less slow and boring

This was a nice little surprise of a film - I love a Naomi Watts film & she played the mother so well no plot spoilers just to say the young lad playing Henry & the supporting cast were brilliant. A lovely entertaining film

An enjoyable film that highlights the importance of acting on child protection issues.

I thought that this film addressed the importance of acting on your suspicions of child abuse without being graffic. A good story line that kept your interest.
