This is a very good film

This is a good and gritty film with strong characters and a believable plot. Clive Owen could have done more with his character, but he's Clive Owen isn't he? He just about pulled it off, and the many powerful scenes filled in for his lack of acting ability. Having said that, it's probably the best film he's been in. Overall vey decent.

To be perfectly honest I only wanted to watch this movie because Matthias Schoenaerts was in it because I absolutely love him & he's an amazing actor so perfectly talented he's like a chameleon. But I was pleasantly surprised it was quite a good movie.

Far too many slow boring and girlie only scenes, little action with an already told story line in much more exciting movies, too much smoking, chatter, and incredibly dull boring secenes.

A little disappointing

Apart from an exciting start and finish , I thought the " middle" scenes dragged on too much , with the one or two exceptions when the Clive Owen character committed murders etc ! Owen was superb as the " baddie" , very believable and chilling .

Cop,Billy Crudup is not happy when his brother Clive Owen gets out of prison, but decides to help him get back on his feet for his families sake. But leopards dont change their spots,as Owen sinks back into the dark world of crime.A good study of family ties and loyalties with a great cast and surprise ending,I really enjoyed it.
