From the manufacturer
Engineered to withstand the most testing working environments
Manufactured using the strongest materials and adhering to the highest quality standards, the Chukka Boot is ideal for any working environment.
Versatility and performance
The Chukka Boot is the most commonly recognised safety boot within the industry due to its versatility and excellent levels of performance. With its uniform style and functionality it can be used in a multitude of environments such as; warehouses, security, site work, construction, gardening and landscaping etc.
EN20345:2011 SB-P SRC
Certified to the recognised EN20345 standard, the SB-P rating means you get top level protection: steel toecap for protection against impact, protective midsole to prevent piercing from sharp objects such as nails and an energy absorbing heel for comfort. SRC is the highest slip resistance rating, making the Chukka Boot suitable for where there are risks of slips and trips in the workplace.
Benefits at a glance:
- Steel toe cap and protective midsole for protection against potential hazards
- Leather upper - providing a longer lasting boot with great flexibility
- Padded collar for added protection around the ankle area and increased comfort
- Scuff cap on toe area for added protection
- Wide fitting for added comfort
PU shock absorbent sole
A PU injected sole unit provides a strong bond between the upper unit and sole unit of the Chukka Boot. This helps enable increased protection for the steel midsole that is located within the sole. In addition, the double density sole increases abrasion resistance and protection whilst lasting longer for the wearer, with the shock absorbent heel area adding comfort and protection when required.
Scuff cap for added protection
The scuff cap provides excellent first line defence protection from scuffs and abrasions, helping keep the boot in better condition for longer.
Padded collar around ankle
With the padded collar and cushioned heel, the Chukka Boot reduces foot fatigue, whilst providing additional protection in areas of concern. The padded collar also provides more comfort around areas that are likely to become uncomfortable when worn for prolonged periods of use.
Attached at the sides under the eyelets the wide folding bellows tongue reduces the chance of water entering the boot. It also stops dust particles and any other debris entering the boot which can cause discomfort for the wearer.
Protective Toe Cap
The SF02 Chukka Boot comes with a steel toe cap, providing up to 200-joule impact resistance and protection from any objects that may penetrate the toe area. There are multiple alternatives within the industry for protective toe caps, most commonly steel and non-metallic (also known as composite) which provide excellent protection.
A protective midsole can be found moulded inside the sole unit of your SF02 Chukka Boot, the midsole is steel and much like the toe cap will provide protection from any objects that may penetrate through underneath the footwear. Midsoles can be steel or non-metallic, with the non-metallic midsoles found in 'composite' footwear.
Slip Resistant Sole Unit
A slip resistant rating is given to every pair of safety footwear on the market, this will either be a SRA or SRC rating. To achieve an SRC rating like the SF02 Chukka Boot a safety boot/shoe must first pass both SRA and SRB testing. SRA testing uses a ceramic floor tile wetted with soapy solution and SRB testing uses smooth stainless steel with glycerol. If both tests are achieved an SRC rating is given, if only SRA is achieved the footwear will only adhere to SRA and will be identified as so.
Fuel Oil Resistant Sole Unit
A fuel oil resistant sole unit allows wearers to get the maximum performance from the slip resistant sole unit when working in wet and oily conditions. It also means that no fuel oil will penetrate through the sole unit or leave the sole unit stained after being worn.

Other than the size, shoes work well.
So expect to return these, when the size doesn't fit.
For £16 the quality of the boot is what is expected very plastic feeling and look cheap but they are so you can't complain.
I have only wore these a few times and I already expect I will be replacing them in a few months.

After my last pair of work shoes tore themselves apart, I looked for something more durable and hard-wearing. These absolutely fit the bill. The steel cap means they don’t deform when you tiptoe or bend forward, and the sole is really thick for grip and long-term wear. They’re easy to slip into and tie up.
However, these are not comfortable shoes if you’re working on your feet all day. After 4 hours my feet get achy from the pressure of standing, and while it never becomes unbearable, it’s enough to be distracting.
With that being said, I still recommend these boots based on the sheer value for money it offers. If you spend all day on your feet, these are still recommended - just invest in some gel insoles, too!
