The material is this synthetic, lightweight stuff (technical term) and although it’s great at wicking moisture away and being both warm and cool when needed, it probably won’t stand up to being caught climbing over a barbed wire fence or sliding down scree slopes. Still, not bad for a walking trouser.
I CANNOT fathom how bad Berghaus products have become. They didn't make the best products on the market, but they were good for their prices. I loved their trousers. But what I received today was cheap, nasty ill fitting rubbish. Yet another clothing company gone to the dogs.
Buyers beware. The popper is like the ones on a baby’s onesey! Doesn’t hold the trousers together.
Arrived screwed up in a bag as if they'd been previously returned.
Would have returned them anyway as the waist was tighter than the government benefits system and the bottoms were wider than a Cockney market trader. As a slightly larger man I find it frustrating that whoever designs these trousers thinks my ankles are as wide as my waist. They wouldn't have been pit of place in a 70s glam rock extravaganza. TAPER THE ANKLES FOR CRYING OUT LOUD.
