Well-paced and amusing story

I really liked Baked In Brooklyn - a simple enough premise of a fairly nerdy guy very nervously dealing weed after losing his soulless corporate job, but unexpected success threatens his relationships culminating in a hard and harsh lesson with some glimmer of redemption.

OK, it's not a unique story, but it's well-paced, humourous and well acted. Josh Brener plays a perfect kind of awkward geek, and Alexandra Daddario is so breathtakingly gorgeous that she's captivating in all of her scenes. It's a really nice mix that's definitely worth the time to watch.

Good fun (6.6-7, Imdb)

Enjoyable romp, contributing to that oddly burgeoning genre of flicks about middle class kids making dosh (some more of it than others) by selling weed. In this instance, a slightly nerdy New Yorker who wants to be a writer. The customary decline & fall ensue, though neither law enforcement nor cartels or similar play a major part. Probably won't set the earth on fire cinematically, but does have a very enjoyable indie feel to it (clearly influenced by early Woody Allen - in fact, the main character seems to be modelled on him, down to the nervous, self-deprecating logorrhea and the huge glasses), plays with the genre's conventions in interesting ways & certainly makes one look forward to more from the same director/screenwriter.

Good movie, seems slow but is actually moving along at a pace, age old story but done with some deep meanings, the ending is great, I really enjoyed this film but don't think its going to be the usual gangs and territories that come with most drug related films, I loved the musical score.

Never have i been wrapped into such a movie in my life. Greta storyline, well written and acted. Multiple times throughout the movie that had me laughing too hard.
The ending won me over though. SO cheeky and punny, it had me busting with laughter.

Would highly recommend the watch!!!

A hidden gem/cult classic
Cant believe i've only just heard about this film. A quirky little story with a couple of great actors that have gone on to do some brilliant films after making this gem
