Lots of humour and professional jealousy

So, what happens when a group of unpublished authors meet weekly, to read their WIPs and hear how everyone else is doing? Well, it’s definitely the stuff of docu-drama, which is what this is.

But, naturally, everything changes when a new author, with almost no awareness of the classics and a fundamental blind spot when it comes to actually reading, lands an agent, gets a publishing deal and finds that all her writer friends either need loans, introductions or an explanation of how she got so - lucky.

With a great cast, a good little story and a sweet ending, I really liked this film.

I mean, it’s Kaley Cuoco, so you can’t lose.

Very mild comedy / romance...

Done in a documentary style. The comedy element was a little laboured, so it was only mildly humourous in places at best. The romance element was very mild as well. So it essentially fails on both of its key elements. Its ok to kill a bit of time, if you haven't seen it before, but its not a memorable film and there's nothing to recommend.

Inspiration just outstrips aspiration

If you've never worked in an intense creative environment, you'd not know just how true to life this movie is. To those who think this movie is not funny, how wrong you are, it is sharp, accurate and spot on hilarious. This is a gem.

Just lacking in heart

With two from Hallmark movies in Tricia Helfer and Teri Polo, along with Kaley Cuoco from the Big Bang Theory I was hoping for more especially after watching the trailer - Sadly the trailer was not representative of most of the movie - I don't like documentary style films and for me this just didn't do it.

I didn't like the documentary style although I did get used to it. I didn't care for the end. I thought each of the characters were played well but the whole thing left me expecting more.

Anyone who has ever been part of a writers' group should watch this. Hilarious. And anyone with a sense of humour should watch too. Writers' version of Best In Show.
