A little amateur-ish in places, but watchable

Obviously filmed on a very tight budget and filmed in the style of a TV show rather than a movie.
It owes a lot to Die Hard ( but don't imagine for a second it's even in the same league as that one).
They had a small CGI budget which for some reason they decided to spend on having a military helicopter show up (to answer a 911 call!) and then get instantly shot down by a small caliber machine gun and crash just-out-of-sight behind a building - and then it's never mentioned again!
Near the end there was a scene with some badly added CGI fire when the camera was viewing the scene from one angle, but the fire wasn't there when viewed from the other.
A pity really, if they had just not bothered with the stupid CGI it would have been much better as there wasn't anything else in the film that was actually laughable.
Other than that there's a plot, a slightly overcooked bad guy, some characters who have a bit of character.
I did find it a little bit jarring that our hero turned from a meek PTSD suffering family man into a kick boxing rootin shootin Bruce Willis type virtually instantly, a little more development on his character wouldn't have gone amiss.
Overall I enjoyed it.

Low Budget? More like No Budget

I watched this. You don't have to. Please. Save yourself from this appalling mess (which is Assault on VA 33 elsewhere as Amazon think we don't know what a Veterans' Hospital is).
It's almost as if it had a negative budget, such is the complete lack of talent involved. Someone watched Die Hard 2 and thought they'd copy bits. But all those bits are just laughable.
Continuity? Sun, Rain, Snow, Rain, Sun.
Acting? There are more convincing actors on UK local radio's "Mary & June" commercials.

If I could give a negative rating, believe me I would.

Die hard it's not.

Honestly, just not a well thought out film. Characters are so obvious.
Plot is a copy of die hard.
Decision making for villians is terrible.
Time seems to warp, sniper appears to cross city in about 2 minutes, carrying a machete. And enter a building (surrounded by police) with no trouble!!
Villians escape by just walking out the back door, into their van!!!! So much for a police cordon.
Don't waste your time. Sorry.

Good flowing action movie - worth a watch!

This is one of those action movies that doesn't send you to sleep. Some of the actors were probably getting on a bit however this is more than made up for with good old fire fights. If you're stuck for something to watch then give this a go, just like another reviewer wrote, it's an up to date Die Hard film in all sense and purposes! A 5 Star movie in my book.......

Not What I Expected.
Verified purchase
I honestly thought this was supposed to be a comedy spoof of action movies. Even after watching the trailer!

It's not. This is actually supposed to be a proper action movie... I think. I only made it to the 10 minute point. Up to that point, the only funny thing was how laughably bad and cheesy it was.

I will not waste any more time to see if it improves. With such a bad start, it can't possibly improve enough to make it watchable.

Absolutely AWFUL

shocking acting, plot and poor casting - the characters do not suit their roles in the film especially the old man who is responsible for 'getting info' out of people. I only waste 20 minutes watching it, please don't make that mistake!
An absolutely awful film, Amazon do us all a favour and remove it!
