I've just started getting back into mountain biking again and needed a pair of padded shorts. I didn't want so spend too much so I bought these. They seem excellent value for money, good padding so you're well protected! I haven't had an achey crack yet!

Only did one ride so far. Shorts are really comfortable. I'm 6' 225lb and the medium fit nicely. For guys, there is a pad in the front so no worry about indecency. They come up about 1/3 of my thigh. Some may think it's too short but I prefer it. Would buy again.

The chamois is very bulky, more so than I'd prefer. The fit also seems to be based around a more 'upright' riding posture (fabric wrinkles at front of hip and rubs a little as leg travels through top of the pedal stroke). Fine for reasonable length rides, but not a go-to for long multi-hour efforts.

I really like these shorts a LOT. Good quality construction, great price, excellent chamois for a decent length ride-mine are usually 25-40miles and had no issues with these shorts. The fit is excellent and provides a decent amount of compression, without restricting movement. Also love that the inseam is shorter than almost all other bike shorts--mid-thigh. Love, love that.
Now the down side...These shorts tend to run warm. It's a heavier lycra/poly blend. I ride mostly in the desert and in Hawaii and I notice the difference versus other shorts. It's not a deal-breaker by any stretch, though, still a comfortable ride and most people won't even notice it in their home climate. The other downside is they are a little short in the waist. I wish these shorts would come further up the back than they do. Again, not a deal breaker, but I hate feeling like my jersey might ride up over the shorts in back. I'd give 5 stars if it weren't for these two things.
All said and done, I now have three of these shorts. They are in regular rotation and I really like them a lot.

If you’re looking for a well made basic pair of cycle shorts for spin class or you’re just getting into cycling, buy these. They’re superior to entry level Izumis at a fraction of the cost. If you want a killer pair of shorts and want to drop ~$150, by all means buy somePearl Izumis. Their high-end offerings are fantastic. Their cheaper shorts trade on the name. But— if you want to spend under $100 on cycle shorts, buy these all day long. As with all cycle shorts, wash them frequently, but line dry them. Don’t be that guy who doesn’t wash his gear between rides. You smell worse than you think. Just don’t do it.
