They are the hardest leather known to man, it's like wearing iron shackles, I wore for 3-4 days, You can't drive in them, they take away your ability to bend your foot upwards and turn your feet into concrete blocks so driving was a no-no after to 30 minute attempts.
The pain around the ankles is hard to bare, your ankle bone throbs with every restrictive step. I tried my best to break these in and take it as 'new boot' syndrome but it just wasn't the case, I gave up trying after my few days to attempt.
The laces are also cheap and awful and slide out, they are coated so they don't grip.
They are cumbersome and clunky and I felt like Herman Munster / Frankenstein as there is completely no movement allowed in the foot beyond the L shape that it forces you in, they felt like skii boots, the support offered would actually most likely break your ankle / shin if you did fall, they feel like boots of steel without any give or pleasure wearing
I am super disappointed and have arranged a return,
I honestly have nothing good to say about these boots, for the price they are ridiculous, usually if you pay over £50 you get supple calf leather or something similar, these are designed for torture, I cannot tell you that any clearer, as I sit today my shins are absolutely smashed, they are so painful like I have been wearing splints but doing everything I can to push against them, my ankles are also damaged and sore
I would avoid these boots like the plague, they look like fashion boots but are far from it, if you plan to walk or drive don't bother, I spent an evening out in these and got home in shock, I've never felt so strongly appalled by a boot,
if they weren't so expensive I would have thrown them into the wheelie bin.
Avoid, Avoid, Avoid
About the upper, while it seems well made, the leather was very dry and the tongue was so dry it had some small cracks in it! First thing I did after trying them on was apply a leather conditioner and polish, which seems to have bought a bit of moisture back into the leather. I suspect that either the shoes or the leather had been in storage for a while.
Also, the listing is slightly inaccurate, as the ones in the image show the boot as having lace hooks near the top, whereas I received a pair with just holes, which is disappointing.
In the end, I did only pay £14.54 for them, but still, no lace hooks, painted on heel block, overall not great.
