A good 3d film for the whole family
Verified purchase
This film is as good as the first one. It's a mystery why they waited six years for a sequel. this did not help theater returns. At least we got a nice 3d blu ray to watch it on. There's plenty of wild scenes in this film that 3d makes even more enjoyable. the picture looks fine here too. I saw this at the theaters in 3d and once again on this blu ray. It's the best way to watch this film. ALice has to help her friends and go up against the time being basically. IT's a good family flick that you and your kids can emjoy.

Alice through the looking glass

More true to the book, which can be confusing but it all ties together as the story unfolds. Looking forward to the next in the series. I can see why it did not get the reviews it deserves, this story was written at a time it was easier to confuse than entertain. I enjoyed it.

A Worthy Successor

Don't understand the hate for this film. It is certainly darker, and sadder, than the first Alice film, and definitely on the daft side...but that is its charm. The visuals are stunning, the story certainly convoluted, interesting characters and a strong message to boot. Mia Wasikowski is competent as Alice, though I feel she should have had more fire in her belly this time round after her experiences in the 'real world' between the two films, Johnny Depp, as always, is a delight as The Hatter. Sacha Baron Cohen plays the most complex character in the film, that of Time itself, and his story plays out in an interesting arc, from perceived villain to an ultimately sympathetic character, as is the story of the White and Red Queens. If you are looking for 'high art' in a film, then look elsewhere, but if you are looking for an entertaining couple of hours with gorgeous visuals, then Alice Through The Looking Glass might do the trick!

Great Tim Burton fantasy film for all ages
Verified purchase
Epic fantasy adventure, by the great Tim Burton. The colours, the queen, the Clock, all mad, but great for adults and children for a Sunday afternoon treat. It's so made for Johnny Depp to. All cast does a magic job of bringing Alice Through The Looking Glass to outstanding life.

Time Travel to Dead Time
Verified purchase
Alice adventures starts by walking through the ‘looking glass’ and returning the same way, not before rescuing the Hatter’s family, and restoring the his sanity. ‘The only way to achieve the impossible is to believe it is impossible’
The only thing I enjoyed about this film was the ending and the Queen of Hearts.

Christmas Present

The description of the storyline makes this look to be a good film so I bought it as a Christmas Present for someone who collects films on DVD - Blu-Ray & 3D formats.

3D fantastic.
Verified purchase
Bought this title for viewing in Canada as the 3D version is not offered by Disney in North America. Plays perfectly as the disc is region free not region b as in the description. This movie is fantastic in 3D. Crisp and natural, adds greatly to the fantastic sets and characters. Highly recommended.
