Excellent Edgy Evolves
The 2006 film was soft 'hollywood' fun, easy dialogue, nice stunts and simple plot. This 2020 TV series is edgy, real, evolves fast from school to sober murder. The simple school life is quickly left behind for more credible, subtle, spy stuff with much more engaging narrative and understated serious dialogue. Mature thriller with slow, careful plot development and rich production values. There are only a few known faces but the cast is at the top of their game, carefully building depth to their characters. No gratuitous twists or wasted scenes but a good steady build up. It adds up to top class entertainment.

The Show is Great but adverts curtsy of IMDB tv puts me of wanting to watch this (or season Two)
I watched season one without add before, now I can't. It's a reall shame because the show itself is great. I really dislike this new model of streaming. I do not want to watch the show with adds.

Surprisingly enjoyable
I wasn't expecting much from the premise but this was a compelling and well-executed story with good performances all round. A teenage boy is recruited to the secret service in order to infiltrate a dim and ghastly Alpine school with shades of the Overlook Hotel, providing scenes which drip with Stephen King. And even though the last couple of episodes of Season 1 looked as if they'd jumped the shark, the tight direction kept things from straying too far away. On to Season 2...

Great
British teenager Alex Rider, after his uncle is killed, is forced to enlist in a division of MI6 as a spy. He enters into the world of espionage and goes on a deadly mission. I was hooked and so engrossed in this series, it is action packed, adrenaline fuelled good TV watching. This is based on the novels by Anthony Horowitz (13 total, I believe) so hopefully there will be many future series to be made. I cannot wait for the next series.

Long time fan, absolutely loved it!!! 5*
Alex Rider was my favourite teen fiction growing up, and I was so excited when I heard about the TV series, especially since the movie was such a flop.
Amazing job, fantastic acting, and some very interesting twists to make the adaptation even more engaging! The only thing that could be better was some of the lighting was too dark in some scenes. Otherwise, pretty much perfect. Cannot wait for season 2 Eagle Strike! Please keep this show going!!! :)
