The heels falls in

I've purchased 4 or 5 of this particular style, the GT-2000 7-9 versions. And 2 of the 4, the heel cushion slides down into the back of the shoe after only a few days of taking on and off the shoe. The ones what don't fall in, are superb in support, comfort and durability. But the 2 that did fall in every time i put on my shoe are just uncomfortable and irritating on my heel and makes the shoe fit wrong.
I like to add arch support insoles and these shoes are perfect for that as well. I just wish I had tried to return then as soon as the heel went in, but I just didn't have time. So over all, if you get a ASICS 2000 with a strong heel part, you'll have a shoe that will last for years. If you get the other where the heel cushion slides down, then you'll be very carefully sliping your foot into your shoe as you pull your heel cushion up to the right spot over and over

I love the ASICS brand for running shoes. These are my favorite so far. I love the shape of the foot and sole. it supports your running gate and gives me a lift when I push off with my foot (if that makes sense). It took a day of walking around to break in. I didn't think they were going to work for me. They rubbed my pinky toe, but the second day they did just fine. I would definitely spend the money on another pair when these wear out. I hiked all over the Oregon coast in these, climbed Alaska mountains and run pavement and dirt trails in them. A solid purchase.

By early April 2022, the padding in the heel is so broken down/compressed that I’m having intense heel pain and there is a tear where my left large toe makes contact with the shoe. I’m only putting 8 or so miles per week on these shoes. My ASICS tend to last longer than this pair has lasted.
