UPDATE: Ran with these during the TCS NYC Virtual Marathon yesterday, 26.2 miles. Comfy, no achy feet, no blisters, no foot pain. I'm amazed I can still walk the day after!

Fits just like Gel Kayano 26, enough room in front toe box and great flyte foam in the shoe!

Never had to break them in, great fit since the beginning :)

Not like they used to be

I have worn Asics for at least 15 years. it was time for a new pair. The same GT 2000 model I purchased was a size 8 which I ordered in the latest model the GT 2000 9. Since that time they added more padding which for me has made the shoe smaller. Another thing that changed was with their one-piece mesh upper fabric that felt better over the top of the foot, BUT I did not feel it was reinforced enough in key areas like the older models to drive toe-offs. I could see how a toenail with wear could tear through the top. I read other reviews that stated as such and had to return them. I also tried a larger size and it was too big and instead tried a wider width instead that did work out better. In the end I did not feel it was a worthy investment even at a lower price. Asics needs another revamp to correct the upper toe area for sure. I ended up buying the Gel Kayano 27 instead.

Best Running shoe for overpronation

Love these running shoes! Asics is the only brand I know that has made a running shoe for overpronation. (I’ve tried Nike, Reebok, Fila without relief) I’ve just purchased my third pair of ASICS and will continue to be loyal to this brand.
I am a runner that overpronates when I run to the point it was causing severe bilateral heel pain. The pain was so bad I was having problems just walking; although I continued to run.
Since purchasing ASICS running shoes almost 2 years ago my right heel pain has completely resolved, the left heel has almost totally resolved (the left was significantly worse). I run pain free now and will never wear another running shoe.

Only running shoes that fit me. I have a very narrow ankle but normal width toe base, so it’s tough to find a shoe that works. I speed walk in these shoes about 3-4 miles per day with no problems. (I bought 2 pairs in fact—one for walking outside and one for the treadmill.)

They arrived quickly and fit me perfectly. I need a 2A width, and my foot is larger, too, so I have a really hard time finding running shoes that fit. I wish these came in other color choices (seems that only one style of women’s Asics is made in a narrow width — and that one shoe is available in only one or two colors. I wish there was more of a color choice for people with long, narrow, flat feet... but I was still very happy to find this pair!

Call me crazy, but if I spend a hundred and twenty bucks on a pair of sneakers, I expect them to feel comfortable right out of the box. There is something sharp digging into my right heel on this pair. I was going to wear them to walk my dog, but just 10 minutes of wearing them in my house to get ready for the walk, and I was already starting to get a blister. I tried loosening the right one a LOT, but it doesn't help. Sorry but this pair is defective and is going back. This is the second pair of Asics that I've had trouble with. Sad because they've always been my go-to sneaker. I'm going out to walk the dog now, in a pair that I've had for 20 years. The quality has gone way downhill, I must say. May be time to try a new brand. I ordered another pair, but I won't get my hopes up too high. I didn't even receive what was pictured in the listing. Apparently they have "updated" these and changed the look of them. Scroll down a few pics, and you'll see the new design. Nowhere near as attractive as the old ones.

Precious few companies make a shoe for all these conditions, and if they do, my choices are either black or white. You have met all my specific conditions in a stylish, good-looking neutral blue color. I never thought I would find my perfect shoe, but this is it!

I was sooo happy to find how comfortable these are! No break-in period needed whatsoever. I have a very active/physical job and I didn’t wear them the first day so I could try them out in a smaller time span. They felt great walking around the house but it’s still hard to tell. My feet were killing me when I got home from work but I had to walk the dogs. I decided to try these ones and wow!!! My feet actually started to hurt less even tho I was still on them and had been working all day! That sold me on these right away and I’ve been wearing them to work every day now. No blisters or rub burns and my feet really aren’t aching at the end of the day! That blows my mind!! They look great, have awesome support, sturdy, very well made and solid. Firm toe box versus the typical soft mesh and fit the form of my feet beautifully. I’m pretty sure these will hold up well and last a good while too. Not real cheap but I’d pay even more for these! It can be so difficult to find a good pair of shoes no matter what price you pay. Thank you!!

Fake ASICS? The Rejects maybe?

I’ve been buying ASIC GT-200 for 5 or more years. I’ve always worn 7.5. However, I got a 7.5 from amazon and found them oddly small. Wore them anyway until it hurt running. Ordered the SAME EXACT PAIR from a trustworthy online shoe store that rhymes with nappos. Sure enough, 7.5 fits! There are also some differences in the decals and the bottom sole. Maybe use “nappos” instead for these. Normally the same price.
