Appalling "Blu-ray"

I've reviewed the movie before. It's fun, but stupid, with a nice eccentric flair. But this review is about the Blu-ray, which is seriously one of the worst you will ever see. It's basically an upscaled DVD, and an insulting one at that. Colors are muted, the brightness is way too high, and the audio even dropped out at one point.

Since this actually comes with the DVD included, just compare them and see the ZERO difference for yourself.

Between this and their terrible Blu-ray of Trespass, 101 Films REALLY needs to get their act together. Completely awful!

Hilarious film. Definitely worth watching.

On of my favourite films. Watched it many times over the years. There are many well-known actors in the cast including Meatloaf and Samuel L Jackson. The violence is always comedic and the humour is Northern. Highly recommended.

Good movie just disappointing bluray
Verified purchase
good movie just disappointed with the audio IE:only 2 channel on the bluray and the picture quality is only just a bit better that the dvd that you get with it so I have an old DVD version from 2002 from Momentum Pictures that has a better audio sound track IE:5.1 so i think that 101 Films have a very bad print of this movie which is very disappointing

Blu-ray review - its the same as the DVD

I've waited for this film to appear on blu-ray and now that it has I'm disappointed it doesn't look any sharper than either the original DVD release or the DVD that comes in the Dual Format Edition. The sound might be slightly sharper but it's nothing special anyway.

Carlyle & Jackson are hilarious 🤣

Bought this because of Robert Carlyle.
Actually a really good film. The partnership between Carlyle and Jackson is hilarious.
A good old British gangster comedy.

This movie was made 20+ years ago! It surely stands the test of time. Very entertaining. Has all the great - Robert Carlyle, Meatloaf, Rys Ifans - great cast and weird story. Very funny too. A classic!
