An edge-of-your-seat disaster thriller featuring an incredible cast, including Amy Smart (The Butterfly Effect), Thora Birch (American Beauty), Peter Facinelli (Twilight franchise) and Anne Heche (Volcano) - and boasting jaw-dropping visual effects from the team behind Everest. What a bore and nonsensical

Utterly amateurish acting save for the little deaf girl and her dad, the pregnant teen an d the woman of the latino couple, and the people who portrayed stereotypical white racist religious homophobic and sexist morons (the acting truly seemed natural). 40 mins into the movie, nothing has happened. then the deaf girl, raised by two meteorologists in the middle of tornado alley, sees her cartoon switch to an emergency tornado warning staring her dad and subtitles to seek shelter, yet runs outside to stare at the tornado close up, standing in it's inflow stream, instead of alarming the babysitter (the pregnant teen) who turned her mobile off while babysitting when her ex-baby daddy keeps calling her instead of muting or blocking his number and who is currently distracted by said ex who came to the house to tell her again that he doesn't want to have anything to do with the kid even though he had already said so previously, hence the ex.
turned it off a few minutes after the tornado scene. just too boring and idiotic. whoever wrote the script needs to find a daytime job. ..and so does whoever casted the actors...

Storm Warning.

When a film brazenly markets itself as a film that has the same VFX production company as Everest and Deepwater Horizon you know the film in question has a very short supply of any other production values; script, direction, acting and editing. This leaves the film very clearly with a TV B-Movie status. The actual robust and reasonably rewarding tornado itself is surrounded by a flaccid, poor and embarrassing array of cringe-worthy moments that really don't play out well at all. Not even the veteran and slightly battered visages of Thora Birch (Ghost World (2001)) and Anne Heche (Six Days, Seven Nights (1998)) don't seem in any way whatsoever to be happy here, just relieved at getting a pay check and keeping their heads down. There is a far better film buried in here somewhere but unfortunately that will not be found with the current group of film-makers. After seeing The Good Liar and The Courier on Friday and Saturday nights respectively this £4.49 Sunday night purchase is an unfortunate loss I will have to swallow.

A right load of old gonads.

This is not going to be a detailed review as I've already wasted an hour and a half watching the film. I'd rather poke my eyes out with a sharp stick than watch it again. Pure, concentrated, drivel crammed into an hour and a half. Just awful.

Utter rubbish

Save your money! It’s appalling. As disaster movies go it’s so poor it’s almost laughable. If only the film lasted 13 minutes then it might’ve been passable. I’m really struggling to find even one redeemable feature in the whole film but I just can’t. If I had to rate it out of ten it would be 1/10 and that’s only cause I have a soft spot for Amy Smart.

What an eye-opener!

A really enjoyable watch and quite tense at times! There are a few important issues interwoven into this story that really added substance. I liked how the film addressed various minorities and the impact of this serious natural disaster on them. I am now very grateful that I don't live in a country where tornadoes are a problem! This is not just a 'running from a tornado film'; we are with a number of characters, and we gain insight into their lives. I felt like I could relate to them all and share in their experiences vividly.

There was neither it was a waste of money and I will be seeking a refund! (Refunded in full)
Do not buy or rent as in my opinion the storyline/plot was slow, predictable and just not good enough.

Understandably cheap to rent

Purchased this for two reasons, it was cheap to rent and after the pandemic I’m literally left with nothing left to watch. Watched this only a couple of days ago and I can barely recall a single scene.
One word springs to mind MUNDANE.
Wouldn’t recommend at all.

It’s an ok unscarry but scarey movie. Disposable characters were not!

Quite well acted but not suspenseful. Nice to watch a movie with people I only sort of know, not ones I see in everything. Wirth watching but nit an A list so ought to be included and not cost extra. I’ve disagreed since the start that £80pa is a lot and then you sometimes have to buy a movie or rent it! I just like to complain but I never put my money where my mouth is.- not a gambler. Of course I know the answer is not to buy or rent but I’m not the evil one here.
