Nice movie, good actors, based on a true story.

It was on rental for £1.99, so gave it a go. Pleasant surprise. It's heart warming and you easily get behind the underdogs. Good collection of actors young, old and middle aged.

Forgot I'd rented it, by the time I started watching it, it was only 24hrs left (of the 30 days to start watching). Otherwise, I could have easily watched this a 2nd time in the standard amazon 48hrs period once you start watching.

A really heart renching story

The film was really well acted & drew you in to the story. The 2 main actors were great & very believable. The story was firstly very sad but as it changed to the boys achievements & determination being supported by the Doc & the coach it was fantastic & we were on the edge of our chairs with them all the way. It’s a must watch film.

Critics will scoff. Other human beings will enjoy it.

In many ways this is a formulaic sports underdog movie. But formulas are formulas because, when executed deftly, they work. And such is the case here. And it's boosted by some strong performances and a convincing depression era setting. Plenty of heart and the orphans look like Shoreditch hipsters. Recommended.

A lovely old fashioned type of movie, with nothing horrible in it that would offend anyone. A great story, very well told and presented.
